A Teardrop Galley Must-Have?!?

Do you recall going to a restaurant where they come round soon after putting down your plates of food and ask if you would like fresh-ground pepper on your meal?

miniature pepper grinder, an inch wide by 4 inches tall

At some over-the-top Italian restaurants this innocent question might be accompanied by an intimidating pepper-mill the size of a battering ram that could take down a door. But there’s no denying what a difference fresh-ground pepper can make… stale pre-ground pepper just doesn’t hold a flame to it. Well, good news Teardroppers, you can enjoy this pleasure with a minimum of size and weight by heading to your camping outfitter and asking for a back-country camping pepper grinder!

Items like this may not seem like much of an essential for your Teardrop trailer’s kitchen but you will find it to be a small luxury when you’re having dinner out in the middle of nowhere and want to bring a bland soup or stew to life.

When you are at the outfitter, check out other gear like this developed for hike- and paddle-in camping. With its combination of small size and high functionality, much of it is also useful for Teardropping.

So, that’s how I do things with my Teardrop Trailer but by no means the full story or the best way. What about you? Add your own methods, ideas and experiences using the comment box below for the benefit of all readers.
