Top Topics in 2024, and Coming Soon in 2025

It’s that time when I look back at the previous year’s stats… always interesting to see what piqued peoples’ interest… and it’s clear that electrical/power systems for teardrop campers are what people want to know about most, followed closely by ventilation. The Top 3 blog posts were:

Next down the list were also practical topics, like having a heater inside the trailer, teardrop toileting, and shelters for teardrop camping, but stats for these were all at the high end of the 300s so the Top 3 really stood out above the rest. That said, special mention goes to Teardrop Camping at a Music Festival which also ended up in the high 300s though only published half way through the year.

(Yes, yes, I know these are small numbers compared to instagram and influencers and all that stuff but, you know, I just do this for fun… this is an old-school, very not-flashy “blog”, and I’m an old school, not-flashy kinda guy, and this is just my little hobby effort to contribute some unbiased, straightforward, experiential teardrop trailer content to what’s out there.)

I also looked at stats for the countries of teardroptrailer.ca site visitors and no surprise the vast majority are from the US and Canada, and again this year Australia as third most common… hello Aussie teardroppers!

New Topics and Posts Coming Soon!

Now that we’re into deep winter here in Canada, teardropping seems a distant memory, and there’s several months in between now and getting back out in the trailer. So I stay motivated by catching up on blog post ideas that came to me over the past season, and I enjoy going through trip photos looking for pictures to include in those posts. Some of the topics to expect over coming weeks & months include (not necessarily in any order):

  • the long and short story behind my teardrop tire blowout
  • an odyssey of correct, incorrect, and questionable things I learned about wheel bearing maintenance
  • shelf-stable nutritious food for long road trips & boondocking
  • a super-nifty battery lantern
  • being prepared to self-boost your car battery
  • Sleeping Giant Provincial Park
  • Chutes Provincial Park
  • a couple more Primo Picnic Area finds in Ontario’s near north
