A blog about Teardrop Trailers, a generic term encompassing a range of subcompact camper trailers.
Most actually are teardrop-shaped, but there are also “squaredrops” as well as beefed-up off-road teardrop trailers for “overlanding”. Whatever the shape or suspension, Teardrop trailers are generally some variation of a bed cabin with an outdoor galley, and offer an experience more akin to camping than to RVing.
Yes, there are also larger Teardrop-shaped trailers that have small interior kitchens and/or toilets, more amenities, and even the possibility of standing up inside. Closer to RVs than typical Teardrop trailers, they are not the focus of this blog, though much of the information here may be useful.
I am trying to build the web site I could have really used when I started getting into Teardrop trailers.
Neil, Teardrop Traveller + blog author/creator
This site is oriented to both prospective and current Teardrop owners. It is mainly practical topics about the trailer and touring with it, peppered with trip dispatches and occasional reflective pieces on insights to be found in teardrop life. The trip dispatches are mainly from Ontario, and entirely from Canada, but all the rest of the content will be useful to Teardroppers anywhere!
