Teardrop Camper Cookware: Go Ultralight!

Just because you’re pulling a trailer and all its contents with a car, rather than carrying camping gear on your back, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be mindful of size and weight.

In a Teardrop trailer galley the storage spaces are not large. But nevertheless you ideally want to have most of what you need in the galley ready to go, not in a storage tote you must retrieve from the car every time. A set of pots, pans and a kettle can take up a lot of space. Or just a little space, if you scope out the offerings designed for back-country camping. And it need not be expensive, high-end gear to be compact, light, and functional.

So, that’s how I do things with my Teardrop Trailer but by no means the full story or the best way. What about you? Add your own methods, ideas and experiences using the comment box below for the benefit of all readers.

You might take a look at Sea to Summit for all the kitchen stuff- dishes, pots & pans, etc. They’re all collapsible so save an awful lot of space.
